How a western-themed event could travel in a herd shall remain a mystery because that's not what we're talking about. So leave the cowboy hats and leather chaps in the closet because they won't be needed for these rodeos. While there was a good amount of hammers being thrown down on the park jumps last spring, there were an equal amount of hammers at the Northstar halfpipe. In the world of 1260s and triple corks, 540s are easily overlooked these days. While a slow, stylish frontside 540 isn't as technically hard as spinning your face off, it is much harder to make look good. Here are a bunch of 540s from Mikkel Bang, Mikey Rencz, Jussi Oksanen, John Jackson, Danny Davis, Mark Sollors, Kimmy Fasani, Marko Grilc, and Enni Rukajarvi that you won't be forgetting any time soon.

Zak Hale, Ethan Deiss, Ludwig Lejkner, Niels Schack, and Wojtek Pawlujiak put on the full court press. Nose and tail presses that is. From long clean presses, to some crazy combos, those rails were probably a lot higher before they were pressed down.

There weren't a lot of sunny days in the Whistler backcountry last year, so when there were Jussi Oksanen, Mikey Rencz, and Jeremy Jones had to make the most of them. From natural rollers to giant cheesewedges, riding in the sun is just more fun.

It snowed a lot in Whistler last year. So much in fact that it limited where Jussi Oksanen, John Jackson, Mikey Rencz, Mark Sollors, and Mikkel Bang could even go to film. So they stayed in the trees. Button up your jacket, pull your hat down over your ears and grab a hot cocoa because Part 2 of Whistler Deep Days will give you chills.

Sometimes you can land a trick in the streets, but most of the time you land on the street. While all of these slams look pretty brutal, they probably felt even worse in the frozen Alaskan streets. An alley-oop is when you spin in a halfpipe or quaterpipe the opposite direction of your air, for example a backside spin on the frontside wall. Although they sound like an accident, they are hard to do, and look awesome when done right.
