The result was an action-packed final which saw a surprise winner on Saturday night as many of the favourites crashed out to leave the 2012 World Championship in the balance going into the final race in Quebec City on March 17.

Red Bull Crashed Ice takes Ice Cross to the streets of Saint Paul, Minnesota for the season opener in front of a crowd of 80,000 fans. The first ice cross downhill race held in the United States since 2004, Saint Paul embraced the event and created an astounding and treacherous course for the competitors to challenge each other on.

Canadian firefighter Kyle Croxall got his second straight win of the season in the ice cross downhill world championship race in Valkenburg, in the Netherlands, on Saturday. In the Red Bull Crashed Ice final, Croxall defeated Germany’s rising star, Fabian Mels, Finland’s Paavo Klintrup and brother Scott to take a firm grip on the 2012 championship. With two competitions down and two more to go, the next stop is Are, Sweden, in two weeks.
