The Qatar Airways GKA Kite World Tour 2024 made its debut at the Brazilian break of Ibiraquera, where the Kite-Surf discipline held its final stop of the season. The event took place from October 19 to October 26. On the sandy beach break of Ibiraquera, 21 men and 12 women from 10 countries competed for the title of World Champion. The new Qatar Airways GKA Kite-Surf World Champions are Brazil's Gabriel Benetton and France's Capucine Delannoy.
In the men's competition, Brazilian Gabriel Benetton claimed his first Qatar Airways GKA Kite-Surf World Championship title on home waters in Brazil. Benetton secured the crown after winning his semi-final heat, but ultimately fell to Spain's Matchu Lopes in the final. Lopes ended the season with a stellar performance, standing out from the crowd and taking his first win of the season. The battle for third place pitted two Brazilians, Artur Morais and Guilly Brandão. It was a nail-biting battle, with both riders achieving impressive scores on the final wave. Brandão ended up in third place.
