As the Vans snowboard family assembled in Mayrhofen, the sun shone and snowboarders from across Europe dropped into the Zillertal valley for the penultimate stop on 2015’s Vans Hi-Standard snowboard series. While the weather didn’t hold, the atmosphere did, seeing some of the continent’s finest registering for the main event and good vibes on the hill.

LAAX OPEN has been safely launched in tracks! The world 's best snowboarders have already completed their qualification runs. Scotty James (AUS) took first place in the men's halfpipe qualification, as well as American Chloe Kim in the women’s competition! In the slopestyle contest Sven Thorgren (SWE) was able to secure the top position to qualify for the semi-finals coming up next. The finals on Friday (Slopestyle) and on Saturday (Halfpipe) are getting closer!

The O’Neill Girls Shred Session went down on the 9th of June in the Superpark Dachstein. Blue Skies, high temperatures and happy vibes were reason enough for over 20 snowboardgirls to make their way up to Austria’s finest glacier. The high number of attendants is definitely a strong statement of the girls snowboard community. Altogether it was a perfect ending for a great season and definitely a positive outlook for the upcoming season. Hope all of you had a blast of a season and see you soon...

The LAAX OPEN 2017 continued today under blue skies and a picture-perfect winter scenery. Today’s center of attention was the perfectly prepared and creative Slopestyle course consisting of 6 features. The best 24 men and 12 women from yesterday’s qualification were competing for a spot for Friday’s Slopestyle finals.
