The LAAX OPEN 2019 culminated today with the long-awaited highlight, the first ever Superpipe Night Finals up on Crap Sogn Gion. Olympic Gold medalist and top favorite Chloe Kim fulfilled all expectations after winning this morning’s semi-finals and also dominating tonight’s finals. The LAAX OPEN 2017 continued today under blue skies and a picture-perfect winter scenery. Today’s center of attention was the perfectly prepared and creative Slopestyle course consisting of 6 features. The best 24 men and 12 women from yesterday’s qualification were competing for a spot for Friday’s Slopestyle finals. Another beautiful day here in LAAX for today’s Halfpipe Semi-Finals in the legendary LAAX Superpipe. 24 men and 12 women were battling for a spot in Saturday’s big finals. Olympic Gold Medalist Iouri Podladtchikov (SUI) won the Semi-Finals in his “home-pipe”, while Chloe Kim (USA) landed the best run in the women’s field.
