Day One of the Copa Kitley GWA Wingfoil World Cup Brazil bursts to life for the final round in Taiba. This is the final event of the year on the GWA Wingfoil World Tour for both the Surf-Freestyle and Surf-Slalom disciplines. After two action packed days of competition of the Copa Kitley GWA Wingfoil World Cup Brazil, the big business of day three on the men’s side was finding out who would finally take the Surf-Freestyle championship home!

Rejoining the contest at the round three stage, every heat on day two was a battle to stay in the competition. Once again we had solid wind and waves that made for heats of high energy and entertainment. The World Championship titles left to be decided will reach their climax at this event, running in Taiba, 12 – 16th November. 33 men and 12 women signed-up for Surf-Freestyle, while Surf-Slalom saw an increase of 41 Men and 14 women who will battle it out around the courses later in the week.

After four action-packed days in Taiba at the Copa Kitley GWA Wingfoil World Cup Brazil, the decisive heats in the Surf Slalom competition were on the agenda.

The GWA Wingfoil World Cup is delighted to be back in Tarifa (ESP) for the penultimate wingfoil event of the 2022 season, where 48 men and 15 women have registered to participate in this pure Surf-Freestyle event. The opening day of the competition period at Bibo Beach delivered the opening throwdowns of the penultimate Surf-Freestyle showdown of the season on Wednesday 12th October!

The GWA Wingfoil World Cup had its second day of competition in Tarifa (ESP). Strong levante wind conditions allowed to complete rounds 1 and most of 2 for the men, alongside the women’s quarter finals. The strong wind combined with the top athletes created a brilliant display of freestyle wingfoiling throughout the day.
