Japan is unique is so many different ways. The people, the food, the language, the architecture, the terrain, the trees, the art, the music. Everything is such a distinct contrast from what we are accustomed to. That is why we love to travel to Japan, to live a different way for a period of time. This re-edit is just one example of how night can be transformed into a powder paradise in the land of the rising sun.

As editor of Bravoski Magazine, Tatsuya Tayagaki’s job is to keep his finger on the pulse of Freeskiing in Japan. He travels the country in his home-on-wheels in search of passionate skiers and hope after the nation was devastated by an earthquake and tsunami in 2011.

Felt Soul Media teamed up with Nick Waggoner and Yuki Miyazaki of Sweetgrass Productions in January 2012 to hunt the mythical Hokkaido Unicorn.
