32. Kaunertal Opening 2017 – Highlight - 1/2 Mile Jibline

The ski and snowboard season 2017/18 has kicked off with the 32. Kaunertal Opening under blue sky and best snowing conditions. Here are the Highlights from Day 2.

Waiting is finally over! The Snowpark Kaunertal gets ready to start the 4th decade of “Freeski & Snowboard, Music & Culture” from October 13th – 15th at the Kaunertal glacier. Half Mile Jib Line 2.0, new side events and a completely new party concept leave nothing to be desired!

Day two of the Opening was formed by the athletic highlight of the weekend. 6000,- Euro overall prize money where put out there to be won at KTO Pro Contest. It has been an incredible performance by all riders. Fife time in a row snowboard Pro Contest winner Eric Beauchemin put his name out there again and showed everyone that he deserves to be all the way up on the podium. Friday started in a smooth and chilled way with lots of happy faces. A fun mix of Sessions and Side Events, like the Splitboard Workshop, the avalanche transceiver training field, DJ sound at the Red Bull Volvo and a spontaneous stand up concert at the Testival area were fantastic editions to the program.
