FISTRAL BEACH, Newquay – England (Sunday, August 28, 2011) – Medi Veminardi (St Leu, REU) 20, has won the ASP 4-Star Quiksilver Pro Junior UK defeating William Aliotti (FRA) 17, 10.34 to 8.57, in a low scoring final in peaky 2-3ft waves to also claim his maiden ASP European Pro Junior title.
Veminardi was unstoppable on the final day of competition ousting all his opponents with convincing style to charge to victory and leap frog from 5th to 1st on the ASP European Pro Junior rankings.

Gabriel Medina (Maresias, BRA) and Maud Lecar (Saint Martin, FRA) have won the ASP 2-Star Airwalk Lacanau Pro Junior today in clean consistent rippable three-foot (one meter) waves, respectively in the men’s and women’s divisions while Joanne Defay (St Leu, REU) secured a second ASP European Women’s Junior title after placing runner-up in the event.

It was an action-packed day at the ASP 2-Star Airwalk Lacanau Pro Junior with the no less than sixteen heats held in improving conditions and the high-tide sand bank allwing for another exciting show. Going all the way down its Quarterfinals, the prestigious event saw both male and female top seeds unleash a variety of spectacular surf maneuvers in the two-to-three foot waves on offer, the French summer holiday crowds standing at the water's edge to witness the exchanges.
