YOP Reunion Surf Pro Junior - Day 5 Lay Day

Women's division of the Yop Reunion Surf Pro Junior, the ASP 2-Star Rexona Girls Pro Junior saw some of Europe and the world's best Under-21 female surfers take to the water in building swell today. With women's action only in today's highlights, enjoy the ride before things get back into motion tomorrow.

The second day of the Yop Reunion Surf Pro Junior saw favorite and local Maxime Huscenot take control of Round 1 in style the four remaining heats running in excellent clean three-foot waves. Things will soon get intense as thirty-two surfers only remain for the prestigious crown.

The ASP 3-Star Yop Reunion Surf Pro Junior got underway today at Trois-Bassins, top seeds taking most of the clean three-foot conditions on offer. From Boukiam's top scoring rides to Ouvre's progressive surfing, Day 1 of competition was a good kick-off to the 2011 ASP European Junior Series.

Probably the best footage since the event started, Day 3 saw favorites confirm their domination at the line-up of the ASP 3-Star Yop Reunion Surf Pro Junior, usual suspects throwing fins out and enjoying the warm water and consistent waves. Another lay day was called at Trois-Bassins today, too big wave conditions making the main venue a close-out. With nice and clean surf expected from tomorrow onwards, event officials will meet at 7.45 AM to assess conditions and most likely restart competition with Men's Round 3. The final day of the Yop Reunion Surf Pro Junior saw some of the best surfing ever witnessed on an ASP European Junior Series event. With former ASP European and World Junior champion Maxime Huscenot taking out the event and Joanne Defay clinching the women’s division, the levels displayed were definitely of world class today.
