Teaser - Freeride World Tour 2018 | Fieberbrunn (AUT)
FWT riders will soon descend the steep faces of Fieberbrunn, Austria for the critical fourth stop of the 2018 FWT during the competition weather window extending from March 9-15. They will be joined by young and talented Freeride Junior Tour (FJT) riders who will also be showcasing their skills at the Tyrolean freeride destination during parallel events taking place March 10-11.
“Crunch time” is quickly approaching on the 2018 FWT season with only one more chance for riders to make the cuts which qualify them to compete at the tour’s final event in Verbier, Switzerland. With the FWT Fieberbrunn results, thirteen ski men, six snowboard men, six ski women, and four snowboard women will move on to the finals in Verbier and qualify for the 2019 FWT season. Junior 14-18 and under 14 riders will also be on course during FJT events happening March 10-11 on nearby venues.
Fans and spectators online and on the ground will have plenty of reasons to be part of the action this year. Snowboard legend and 2018 wildcard Gigi Rüf (AUT) will make his FWT Fieberbrunn debut in addition to après-ski with live bands–a must for any Austrian snow adventure–going off at bottom of the resort starting Friday, March 9.
