SWATCH GIRLS PRO CHINA 2013 – Contest Day 1
Reigning event and ASP Women's World Longboard Champion Kelia Moniz got her title defense off to a good start to advance automatically to Round 3 on the opening day. Chelsea Williams, who finished 1st and 2nd in the previous two events also picked up where she'd left off, showing mastery of the conditions early on in the morning to set the performance marker for the day. Swatch Proteam surfer Kassia Meador also advanced to Round 3, but needed the safety net of Round 2 after an uncharacteristic slip up in her first heat.
