Snowpark Lenzerheide: First Freeski Session-30-12-12

The Blue Tomato Kingspark is one of the first true Slopestyles in austria with a full length of 1.8 kilometers, 4 sections and tons of obstacles. The young up and comer Jakob Kratzer just became 1st in the rookie comp at the Mayrhofen Freeski Open. Maybe it helped that he was in M?hlbach the days before to train some endless lines. After some heavy and unexpected snowfalls, the day before the shooting Parkdesigner Ralf Heeb had to dig out the park. Nevertheless all riders went straight to work and were rewarded with beautiful sunshine the day after. Joel Mooser and Jonas Hunziker are extremely strong riders from the Lenzerheide area, and normally you will find them pulling technical tricks on big parkjumps. The session didn’t leave much to the imagination: The day was blessed with sunshine, blue skies and the multitude of motivated shredders made the shoot at Snowpark Lenzerheide a pleasure to attend. Mastermind and park designer Ralf Heeb met the QParks media crew as well as some local snowboarders and freeskiers in the DC Snowpark Lenzerheide in order to check the whole park and each obstacle from head to toe. After a nice shooting day with perfect weather conditions, Ralf and the shooting crew finished their day with a tasty raclette!
