Snowpark Kitzbühel: Big Jumps and Parklaps Freeski - 18-02-2013

The Freeski Crew had the pleasure of testing the big jump on Soeldens glacier for the first time. As a result of some heavy snowfalls the night before, it took a while until everything was ready for the first try outs. Saturday the 15th of February saw the 11th edition of the Sick Trick Tour pass through the Mercedes-Benz Snowpark Kitzbühel for the 2014 edition. Weather doesn't matter! Big Air instead of Slopestyle Contest. Due to the weather conditions, the 10-year-anniversary edition of the legendary Sick Trick Open in Kitzbühel had to be staged on the last jump of the kicker line. The riders, among them many familiar faces, nevertheless put on a spectacular show for the audience!

The Shape Armada around Andi Röck did their best to stand tall against last weeks „april weather“, which actually lasted all the way through may, with some sunny gaps, in between. As the end of the season slowly ticking down with the hands of the clock, it was decided that it was time for a spring session on the kickers at the Vans Penken Park Mayrhofen on the 8th of March. With the snow as soft as velvet underfoot, the riders could send it to the bottom of the landings without a worry in the world before they turned their attention to the new jib ditch that was built this season.
