The Red Bull Cliff Diving World Series 2011 kicks off 3,500km west of mainland Chile
887 moais spread over 163 square kilometres and 12 high divers on a 27-metre platform – the heavyweights of Rapa Nui will bear witness to the heavyweights of cliff diving at the 2011 World Series’ first competition on Chile’s most westerly point. One of the most remote and mystical places in the world has been chosen as the venue to kick off the third season. On Easter Island during the second weekend in March, Gary Hunt (GBR) will face competition from his hunters – the world’s best cliff divers – for the first time as reigning champion.
