The TGR production crew recently teamed up with athletes Sage Cattabriga-Alosa, Kevin Jones and Nick Martini in Colorado to test how well the 2011 Ford Explorer is suited for winter sports. In this episode, the crew uses the Explorer as their "Basecamp" for a night session of urban prowling.

This week's Deeper Unplugged joins the Deeper crew and airplane pilot Drake Olsen in Alaska as he prepares to drop them in the remote Alaskan wilderness for the next 27 days. Olsen discusses the logistics and dangers of the mission noting, "Even though looking down on these cirques and glaciers they look flat but there's all these different features all the time. Pumps and rolls and crevasses….every place that we had looked at made me shutter with fear."

Opening day at Jackson Hole Mountain Resort this past Saturday, November 27th is one for the books! Never in the history of JHMR has so much snow fallen to date. With a record 130" of total season snowfall and the current snow depth at 51" came a record opening of the entire mountain that was wall to wall with all lifts running.

This week's almost live joins Callum Pettit, Seth Morrison, Sammy Carlson and Kye Peterson at Last Frontier Heliskiing in Ripley Creek, British Columbia. Pettit takes a huge crash during one of his runs and is forced to take a break from skiing and pay a visit to the hospital. As Seth notes, "He sent it off a piece of ice and we didn't see him come out from it." With Sammy adding, "He came on the radio and you could just tell instantly something wasn't good."
