O'Neill Cold Water Classic 2010 Scotland - Highlight Final Day

Jarrad welcomes us to the final day of the competition. In true O’Neill Cold Water Classic Series style, they are blessed with offshore winds and pumping waves at Thurso East. In an all goofy semi it is Royden Bryson (ZAF) who defeats Shaun Cansdell AUS) to be the 1st in the final. The 2nd semi finale is an all Brasilian affair with Yuri Sodre versus Raoni Monteiro. Yuri Sodre dominates the heat and moves through to the final.
After 6 days of competition with unique and changing weather conditions from sunny, howling winds, pouring rain to even snow, it all comes down to 2 surfers: Royden Bryson (ZAF) and Yuri Sodre (BRA). They fight it out for the most prestigious trophy in competitive surfing – the highland sword!!
Royden Bryson from Capetown, South Africa wins the treasured highland sword and can call himself Lord Royden Bryson, as well as runner up Lord Yuri Sodre.
The O’Neill Cold Water Classic Series now moves to its third event of the year – “the wildest” tourstop in Cape Twon / South Africa in July. And all the surfers will be chasing those valuable CWC series rating points in the battle for the $50,000 grand prize for the series winner.
