Another beautiful day here in LAAX for today’s Halfpipe Semi-Finals in the legendary LAAX Superpipe. 24 men and 12 women were battling for a spot in Saturday’s big finals. Olympic Gold Medalist Iouri Podladtchikov (SUI) won the Semi-Finals in his “home-pipe”, while Chloe Kim (USA) landed the best run in the women’s field. After a heated battle, the twelve slopestyle finalists for LAAX OPEN 2016 have been figured out. Swedish top-rider Sven Thorgren showed the best performance of the day with a score of 89.05. After another weather delay this morning due to bad visibility and strong winds, the skies cleared to a beautiful final day of competition at the 2016 LAAX OPEN.
