In the forests of Fontainebleau, the boulders hold some of the most astounding shapes in the world, inspiration to artists and climbers alike. World Cup route setter Jacky Godoffe has been climbing there for decades, and his routes are drawn from the motion of Font. For Jacky, this expression, and sharing it with others, is his happiness.

Climber and author Dave Pegg was a fixture in his climbing community of Rifle, Colorado, a man remembered for what he gave to others. With his passing, many of his projects were left unfinished, some of them still partially bolted dreams. Now, Black Diamond Ambassador Dan Mirsky returns to the Western Slope, learning how to bolt and clean, hoping to finish and climb a striking line, paying homage to the man who lived a life of width.

In 2015, Caroline Ciavaldini set herself the ambitious project of free climbing the Voie Petit, a 450m granite route graded 8b on the Grand Capucin on Mont Blanc du Tacul, Chamonix. Established by Arnaud Petit in 1997, and first free-climbed by Alex Huber in 2005, the route is protected by a mixture of trad gear, bolts and pegs.

On May 31, 2015, Petzl athlete Emily Harrington topped out Yosemite's El Capitan via Golden Gate (5.13b, 41 pitches). The ascent was the culmination of a three-year learning process and one of her biggest challenges to date. "It was a bloody, tear-stained battle, done in the best style possible for me," Emily said of the climb.
