One day after the supposed Armageddon, the same atmosphere dominated the morning of the QParks Tour stop Blue Tomato Plan P at the Superpark Planai. Fog and strong snowfalls reduced visibility, difficult conditions during the qualifications. The contest setup, consisting of 4 different jib and kicker obstacles in a row, was hardly to see and riders could no better than guess the outlines of the obstacles. But nevertheless more than 50 top motivated freeskiers aged between 12 and more than...

After some heavy and unexpected snowfalls, the day before the shooting Parkdesigner Ralf Heeb had to dig out the park. Nevertheless all riders went straight to work and were rewarded with beautiful sunshine the day after. The first of march was a perfect park day. Warm enough to ride with the hoodie but still cold enough to get enough speed for the jumps. Blue Tomato did send their teamriders Severin Noiges and Alexander Reiter, who were joined by locals like Moritz Schwarz. The Blue Tomato Kingspark is one of the first true Slopestyles in austria with a full length of 1.8 kilometers, 4 sections and tons of obstacles. The young up and comer Jakob Kratzer just became 1st in the rookie comp at the Mayrhofen Freeski Open. Maybe it helped that he was in Muehlbach the days before to train some endless lines. Jib ahoy at Blue Tomato Kingspark Hochkönig on March 9th 2013. Due to a break in the weather, we saw sick rail action instead of massive airtime. Numerous riders defied the conditions and showed us exciting battles on the rail-line.
