The Qatar Airways GKA Kite World Tour is set to debut in the Brazilian break of Ibiraquera, where the Kite-Surf discipline makes its penultimate call of the season.
The top riders from across the globe perform at the paradise of Ibiraquera, a brand new location for the tour!
The Ibiraquera stop is the first of two back-to-back calls in Brazil, after which the 2024 Kite-Surf world champions will be crowned.
Cape Verde-bred Airton Cozzolino (ITA) and France’s Capucine Delannoy head the standings of the Kite-Surf discipline but their leads over rivals have shrunk after both were beaten at the last tour stop in Dakhla, Morocco.
Cozzolino clinched his crown in Brazil last year after a title race that went down to the wire. He opened the defence of his crown with a big win at the start of the season on home waters in Cape Verde.

Reigning world champion Capucine Delannoy came from behind in the final of the Defender GKA Kite-Surf World Cup in Sylt, Germany, to take a narrow victory in the opening action of the event.
