GKA Kite-Surf & Hydrofoil Wold Cup Taiba, BRA, 2022 - Highlights of Day 5
The 5th and final day of the Copa Kitley Qatar Airways GKA Kite-Surf and Hydrofoil World Cup in Taiba, Brazil was a day dominated by France's Charles Brodel with his unparalleled and innovative riding style, securing his second consecutive World Championship title. On the last day of the event in Taiba, the conditions for the Hydrofoil Freestyle riders could not have been better. Due to the special boards, which have almost no resistance in the water, the riders can show incredible tricks even in weak winds. Frenchman Charles Brodel dominated the competition as he did at the last World Cups and showed from the first second on that he would not make it easy for the other riders in the fight for the world champion title. With a trick that had never been shown in a competition before, the Frenchman catapulted himself to 1st place in Taiba and thus secured the World Champion title ahead of Alex Soto (BRA) and Maxime Chabloz (SUI).
