Sometimes we make bad decisions. Turns out trying to ski in Australia on a low snow year was not our best decision... but luckily we met Simon Blondel who provided us with plenty of other activities to make up for an otherwise lackluster skiing trip.
On paper it sounds sweet to fly halfway around the world to Australia on a someone else's dollar to shoot a catalog. But showing up to a 6 week dry spell and rain in the forecast made for some tricky ski conditions. We made the most of it and spent a few days skiing Thredbo, Perisher, and even tried our luck in the backcountry bush. Luckily Australia has way more to offer than skiing so we spent plenty of down days touring Sydney and the coast, petting kangaroos, building bonfires, romping around in the ocean, cliff jumping and plenty of other random debauchery.
