The oxbow back to powder has kicked off to a good start. All the riders have arrived and will be gathered in the French resort of Areches Beaufort until January 7th.
Today the riders spent the day checking out the different sites of the venue.The backcountry zone, the wood zone (consisting of a series of wooden features in the trees), and the perfect jump. The only inconvenience was the strong wind reaching up to 100km/h on the summits.

Perfect Jump and Freestyle Backcountry for the first day of competition.
Good weather this Wednesday morning allowed the riders to begin the competition on the ?perfect jump?. The 7m high jump, and great performances allowed cameramen today for some great footage. Amongst the riders, the Japanese Yuri Suzuki, the Frenchman Arthur
Longo and the Austrian Tobias Tricheur, stood above the rest this morning, combining great style and technique.
