AREA 47 Snowpark Sölden: Freeski Parkcheck - 14.02.2014

It's huge, it's unique, it's mind-boggling: QParks' special obstacle THE X in Sölden! In May 2015, project manager Sven Toller and AREA 47 park designer Stefan Morocutti joined forces to create an enormous obstacle attracting both national and international freeski pros. Take a look behind the setup of THE X and see riders like Lukas Müllauer, Fabian Kettner, Johannes Rohrmoser, Markus Androsch, Sam Baumgartner, Dominik Wilfling, Josh Absenger and Fabian Braitsch in all their style and glory....

The Freeski Crew had the pleasure of testing the big jump on Soeldens glacier for the first time. As a result of some heavy snowfalls the night before, it took a while until everything was ready for the first try outs. Many riders of the Blue Tomato Snowboard Team, made their way to Superpark Planai to celebrate two days of happy shredding in nice springlike conditions. As the end of the season slowly ticking down with the hands of the clock, it was decided that it was time for a spring session on the kickers at the Vans Penken Park Mayrhofen on the 8th of March.
