Blue skies and sunshine are welcoming visitors of freestyle.ch at Landiwiese this morning. While yesterday heavy rainshowers forced the organizers to cancel the FMX and the skateboarding qualifications these contests can be held today. In order to fit the tight program the best 4 will directly qualify for the finals that will be held as planned.

The 16th annual freestyle.ch Zurich was a hit despite the weather. 28,000 freestyle fans gathered at the Landiwiese to cheer on their freestyle superstars.
In an equally intense head-to-head fight for the freeski title Henrik Harlaut (SWE) landed first place and Elias Ambühl (SUI) second. Harlaut amazed with a perfect switch double cork 900° that he executed with a precision Ambuehl wasn't able to match. Coming 3rd is Andreas Hatveit from Norway.

The entire FMX and skateboarding contests were shifted to Sunday due to heavy rainfall. Of the top 4 contenders in the FMX final, it was last year's FMX champion, Danny Torres, who grabbed the title for a second time. The Swiss French Mat Rebeaud had to settle for second place and Libor Podmol (CZE) finished 3rd.

Heavy rain couldn't keep scores of loyal freestyle.ch fans from finding their way to the Landiwiese on Saturday.
