On qualification day 2 of the 2014 VÖLKL WORLD ROOKIE FINALS, it was the Rookies’ time to shine. 56 boys and girls up to 18 years competed for their entrances to the big finals which will take place tomorrow. The twelve Rookie boys with the highest scores of today will then fight for the title of the male World Rookie Champion 2014.

The future of snowboarding looks bright here in Livigno at the Mottolino Snowpark, at the 12th edition of the World Rookie Fest. Under a beautiful blue sky, with perfect winter scenery and amazing snow conditions, the best 44 riders out off the 144 registered athletes showed their skills in three final runs, where the best run counting.

Madonna di Campiglio welcomed 60 young and fierce athletes from all over the world. The race sanctioned the victory of the Norwegian ripper Leo Landroe in the Rookie category. The young freeskiers from all over Europe expressed the future of the sport in the Nordkette Skyline Park and showed their skills in the high quality slopestyle course. From the heart of the Alps, Innsbruck, Austria, hosted the 2021 edition of the World Rookie Skateboard Finals, and welcomed 70 skateboarders rapresenting 17 nations, pre-selected throw a series of 10 WRT qualifing events accross Europe and Japan.

The Black Yeti crew spent a full week in Hintertux where the first ever combined Snowboard and Freeski World Rookie Finals went down successfully.
