While the Northern Hemisphere was hunted by thunderstorms, long nights and cold temperatures, Nixon’s William Aliotti caught some great waves in sunny Tahiti. The 19-year-old from St. Martin has developed some killer air skills during the past years, scored solid results on the WQS and already managed to pocket two invitations to the Nixon Surf Challenge being the youngest surfer on the team.
The trip in company of fellow Frenchies Maud LeCar and Joan Duru was William’s first time in Tahit...

It's not a competition of who's on the weirdest mission. It's just a celebration of your mental calibration. Wavelengths flutter like a bird that's stuck in butter. Feeling gray matter with a stack of cruddy clutter.

Volcom Europe's juniors went last month on their very first mission at the "Proving Grounds". Marcelino Botin, Andy Criere, Angelo Bonomelli, PC Distinguin, and William Aliotti had the privilege to stay at the Volcom House, right in front of the infamous "Pipeline". Arriving late in the season, the boys found empty beds in the "Dungeon", and less crowded North Shore line-ups. Still, there was no special treatment.
Each of the boys experienced the meaning of "pay your dues", a commonly used p...

With just a van, a few boards and a camera, William Aliotti and Sebastian Zanella embarked on a 3000km solo surf exploration road trip along the Chilean coastline, travelling across the dusty Atacama desert, ghost t...

A decade in existence, The Nixon Surf Challenge has grown from a casual get-together of befriended riders into an annual trip discovering new destinations. The event’s concept was first hatched over a decade ago and for many years was held in the Basque beach town of San Sebastian, Spain where Nixon, a handful of team riders, friends of the brand, photographers, and magazines would post up, hang out, and surf their faces off during t...
