Opus 4 "Lifted" was filmed in Switzerland in 2004. It shows the Swoard team in action, using Swoard Extremecarver model and their extremecarving technique. You can learn more about extremecarving on http://www.extremecarving.com.

Drones are giving interesting images of extremecarving to understand how it is possible riding like this.
The original technique by the founders in 2002 is inspired from surfing: rotation of upper body and push-pull of the legs. The rider leads the board in rotation and can control pressure on toes and heels. Specific setup: modified hard boots (soft and long springs), reduced bindings angles and... the original extremecarving snowboards, which are wide alpine boards, not stiff longitudinall...

Opus 2 "Extreme Dreamer" shows the Swoard team in 2001-2002 using the final prototypes that lead to the Extremecarver model, the first extremecarving board of the market. The ride technique developed by the team was new at that time. Now 15 years after, this is known as extremecarving (EC), as it has been named by the founders Patrice Fivat and Jacques Rilliet. The trend has grown worldwide and contributes to a renewal of alpine snowboarding.
