Windy wild conditions set the scene for the first day of the 2010 O’Neill Cold Water Classic Series, but it was the surfing that took center stage. The wind and rain deter no one. Jarrad, who finished runner up last year in Tasmania is keen to do well again. He gets his van set up for the night to catch some early sleep. The next morning he shows us how he prepares for a heat. First of all he chooses the right wetsuit for the conditions, waxes his board and has some breakfast. To get psyched for his heat he listens to some music before he paddles out. He is pretty disappointed that he didn’t pass through his heat, but looks forward to his chance in Scotland.
