This is why the Red Bull Rampage MTB event is the craziest and gnarliest mountain bike event in the world. The jumps, drops and features are the biggest I've ever seen. Jumping and doing downhill bike tricks off of cliffs is one thing, but linking it all together at Rampage is a whole new level of gnarly. I take you behind the scenes to see what the riders are building and cooking up for the crazy event next weekend. Enjoy!

In its first year, 2001, Rampage was merely a testing ground - the question "Can we really ride this stuff?" was the central theme. But by the time the event returned in 2002, the question became "How big can we go?" Year two was all about going huge and hucking cliffs, so take a look back in the archives for some of the best moments of riders pushing the absolute limits of freeride mountain biking.
