Going on a tour during January in France is not a good idea but it's for
that reason that we and the Soma-boys thought it would be a good challenge
and an opportunity to get an original article for the magazine.
Well the worst you can imagine, happened, France and Belgium where covered
with snow and we lost 4 days of the trip waiting for the weather to get
better, but it just didn't happen.
Last option was to drive to the Mediterranean side of France where it's
always nice weather and...

Much like a flock of birds we found ourselves migrating south once again, after the first cold and wet days hit central and northern Europe. Unlike our avian friends, we didn’t get to spend the whole winter in the warmer climate. Ten days had to be enough to do two demos and fill up on sunshine, warmth and good skatespots.

Much like a flock of birds we found ourselves migrating south once again, after the first cold and wet days hit central and northern Europe. Featuring the endlessly creative skating of Sweden's Albert Nyberg, all-terrain destruction of England's Barney Page, and super heavy hammer fest of Belgium's Axel Cruysberghs, Etnies' European am video is a face melter. Filmed all over the world, spanning an entire year, this is the first time either of these international rippers has put out a major street part overseas. Three individual parts, one amazing project. Last week we loaded up the van and headed to Clisson, France for the tenth edition of the Hellfest festival. Axel Cruysberghs, Dustin Dollin, Harry Lintell and Victor Pellegrin jumped in; we checked set times and put the pedal to the metal to make sure we could not only get our shred on the ramp setup but also enjoy shows from the likes of Black Sabbath, Melvins, Napalm Death, King Diamond, Sunn O))) and of course our friends from Gojira, The Shrine and Kveletrak.
