Dennis Corbet and Colin Gomez experienced an avalanche accident in late January in the French Alps.
Dennis was riding a cool face when, after a drop, a slab got triggered. He didn’t really understand what was happening and fell while turning on the crack. He was immediately covered by the avalanche and got pushed to the bottom.
Colin, who was watching him ridding, started the rescue. Thanks to the DVA he found him and, with the help of the witnesses, wriggled him out of the avalanche.

Winter this year passed by so fast: I remember the early powday in November in Andermatt, then a christmas with very few but ok snow in Disentis, the heavy studying for exams at university and the guilty feeling after skiing between studysessions ;) With more snow in January/February and finals done, it started to feel like winter finally and I spent two weeks working as a skiinstructor in Disentis.
