Bring Light to Kibera: We found the light!
From 11th to 15th January 2013, thirteen students from the French School of Nairobi have launched an assault on Mount Kenya to attract attention on their humanitarian project "Bring light to Kibera," to illuminate schools in Kibera, the biggest slum in Africa. Ski alpinism to climb Piolit mountain (2464m, Hautes-Alpes, France) carrying paragliders that we drop below the upper part of the mountain which is great to ski (40° on 500m south-east, good snow conditions), then take off with the gliders. A good combination! A gear-test day (January 8th 2013) for Carnets d'Aventures (expemag.com) team! How to combine work and pleasure ;-).

Kim Havell & WIDSIX take you on a quick GoPro tour of rarely accessed lines in this exciting backcountry terrain. A short couloir skiing edit filmed in the mighty San Juan mountain range around Telluride, CO.
With steep 50+ degree chutes, tight walls, cliff bands, rappels, dicey snowpack, and at high elevations up to 13,500ft, there is lots of adventure in this natural playground.
