The trails in and around Wellington on Stage 6 would offer a superb mix of singletrack but with 2000m of vertical ascent spread over 76km the racing was anything but easy, especially with a resurgent Cannondale Factory Racing outfit looking to reclaim their second place on the general classification over Canyon Topeak. Attacks would come early and at regular intervals.

The route took the riders towards Lake Lauenee with the lake itself being one of the most beautiful places you will ever come across.
Johann Tschopp won the stage but it was unfortunately not enough to secure him the overall winner prize as the number of points that Tomas Misser got for the eliminator race leapfrogged him t...

Stage 2 of the Snow Bike Festival started yesterday morning with a bit of an overcast and with a more comfortable reading on the thermometer compared to stage 1. The terrain however was a bit more slippery at stage 2 compared to stafe 1 as some of the ice on the roads began to melt due to the warmer conditions. It was Thomas Misser who won the race in the men category and Hielke Elferink who won in the women category.

This time it was Rudi van Houts, partner of José Hermida (Multivan Merida Biking). Van Houts crashed on Thursday and even though he started the stage, could not go on. This follows the withdrawals of Hannes Genze and Karl Platt on Wednesday and Thursday respectively.

It was another dramatic day at the Absa Cape Epic. Stage 4 was marred with the withdrawals of four-times champion Karl Platt and second-place mixed racer Cherise Stander.
