Quiksilver's Kelly Slater clinched an historic and unprecedented 11th ASP World Title today in the cold and challenging waters of San Francisco's Ocean Beach. Slater, 39, is the first surfer to achieve 11 ASP World Titles, an accomplishment spanning two decades of an astounding career during which he has dominated competitive surfing as both the youngest and oldest ASP World Champion.

It was a non-stop day of action at the O’Neill Cold Water Classic 2011, as the event took full advantage of its mobile format to make the most of the swell on offer. Starting just after sunrise at Steamer Lane to finish off the Round of 96, the event packed up and headed up the coast to the beach break of Waddell Creek to plough through the Round of 48. Then just to finish things off, it returned back to the Lane to get stuck into the man-on-man heats in the Round of 24 until the sun set....

Once again it was the setting for a perfect day of competition - clear blue skies, and whales out in the bay - on day two of the O’Neill Cold Water Classic, Santa Cruz. A high tide meant that despite at 7am start for the call, Steamer Lane wasn’t working its magic until after lunch when local surfer Jonny Craft got into the water and took out the first heat of the day. For the first time in history the Association of Surfing Professionals (ASP) will bring surfing to The People's Republic of China with the SWATCH GIRLS PRO China hosted by Wanning! Running from October 26 through 30, 2011, the ASP Women's World Longboard Title event will grace the City of Wanning on the Island of Hainan, and have the honour of crowning the 2011 ASP Women's World Longboard Champion.

Highlights day 1 - The ASP 6-Star Billabong Girls Azores Islands Pro ran through to complete the first half of Round One of competition in punchy 2-3ft peaks at the main event site of Praia de Santa Barbara. After a beautiful morning session of competition which was stopped due to the high tide, heavy torrential rain storms passed through during the afternoon accompanied by strong off-shore winds making it impossible for competition to resume.

Highlihts Day 5 - The ASP 6-Star San Miguel Pro Zarautz presented by Euskaltel kicked off today in building swell finishing the day with 2-3Ft waves at the main beach of Zarautz. A very busy day of surfing saw surfers compete on split banks with a total of 48 heats run today.

Day 3 - For the third consecutive day the ASP 6-Star San Miguel Pro Zarautz presented by Euskaltel has been called Off. The new swell expected by event organizers hasn't arrived yet and no swell was on offer today on the main beach of Zarautz.

Day 1, no competition due to small conditions

FISTRAL BEACH, Newquay – England (Sunday, August 28, 2011) – Medi Veminardi (St Leu, REU) 20, has won the ASP 4-Star Quiksilver Pro Junior UK defeating William Aliotti (FRA) 17, 10.34 to 8.57, in a low scoring final in peaky 2-3ft waves to also claim his maiden ASP European Pro Junior title. Veminardi was unstoppable on the final day of competition ousting all his opponents with convincing style to charge to victory and leap frog from 5th to 1st on the ASP European Pro Junior rankings.
