For the first time, the QParks Snowboard Tour stopped at Snowpark Söll on Sunday, March 2nd 2014. Despite it being carnival day, the riders had to convince the judges not with their costumes, but with their skills. The super-sunny weekend proofed to be the perfect date for the follow lines shooting at the MINI Snowpark Feldberg. Spring is taking over all over the place, so it was high time for a slushy session in the Black Forest. The riders jumped into Germany’s longest jib line and pulled out some literally hot runs. For the 23rd edition of the Champs Open a totally new direction has been taken with two distinctly new competitions. The first was dedicated Snowboard and Freeski film producers. Four teams were invited for 10 days to Leysin with riders & cameraman/editors with the ultimate goal of producing a 3-minute film of their adventures throughout the Vaud Alps. First practice day at The Arctic Challenge in Oslo, Norway. The event is presented and hosted by legendary snowboarder Terje Haakonsen. Danny Davis has arrived and joins the riders, including Arthur Longo and Olympic Gold winner Iouri "iPod" Podladtchikov, for their first session in the pipe. The riders are in Oslo to take on a creative halfpipe with additional features included in the set up, in their quest to continue the progression and the future of snowboarding.

In a break from a traditional contest format, Europe’s longest running event, the Leysin Champs Open Winter Freestyle Festival 2014 celebrates the roots of Snowboarding and Freeskiing by launching a new, fresh event format. Calling the resort of Leysin home base, and utilising the awe inspiring backdrop of the Vaud region of Switzerland as it’s canvas, this years edition will be split into a film & editing component culminating in a freestyle show and three day music festival at the Place to Be.

12 great and stylish riders are here to help shape the future of snowboarding. The Freeride World Tour 2014 final will be held in Verbier, at the Xtreme Verbier on the Bec Des Rosses venue on Saturday march 29.
