On qualification day 2 of the 2014 VÖLKL WORLD ROOKIE FINALS, it was the Rookies’ time to shine. 56 boys and girls up to 18 years competed for their entrances to the big finals which will take place tomorrow. The twelve Rookie boys with the highest scores of today will then fight for the title of the male World Rookie Champion 2014.

The qualifications for the youngest competitors at the 2014 VÖLKL WORLD ROOKIE FINALS were going down today. Within the 41 strong field of Groms, every rider had the chance to impress the judges in two runs – the best run counted for the ranking. Sven Thorgren (SWE) and Celia Petrig (SUI) won the 2012 Protest World Rookie Finals in Ischgl, Austria, and were crowned WSF 2012 World Rookie Champions with a special prize giving ceremony including live music and special guests.
