A talented skateboarder and photographer, Nick Garcia combined his two passions on his new signature colorway of the etnies RCT. Nick’s RCT takes inspiration and elements from his Canon AE-1 35mm camera on the heels of the shoes showing the focus and aperture markings, and on the footbeds highlighting a filmstrip and his photography. Much like a flock of birds we found ourselves migrating south once again, after the first cold and wet days hit central and northern Europe. Unlike our avian friends, we didn’t get to spend the whole winter in the warmer climate. Ten days had to be enough to do two demos and fill up on sunshine, warmth and good skatespots. Late this past summer, etnies embarked on a tour of Scandinavian Europe through Helsinki, Finland, Oslo, Norway, Copenhagen, Denmark and Amsterdam, Netherlands. Through some hangovers, twisted ankles and hot-pockets, all the dudes agreed it was one of the smoothest and most hitch-free trips they’d been on. However, there was one thing that loomed over everyone’s head, everyday: Don’t be the last to the van.

Barney Page and Charles Collet and their hometowns of Exeter and Grenoble were picked for the last installment of the Tales of Two Cities series, which turned into a bit of an uphill battle.
