Ever dreamed of becoming a ski or snowboard movie star? The 2012 TGR Grom Contest will make that dream a reality for one lucky participant by giving them a chance to film with TGR. Groms 17 years of age or younger may submit up to one ski or snowboard edit each month for a chance to film with us during the 2012/2013 season and have an edit of their footage shown before our 2012 film tour. A GoPro HD Hero 2 will also be awarded to our favorite edit from each month.

The Blue Tomato Kingspark is one of the first true Slopestyles in austria with a full length of 1.8 kilometers, 4 sections and tons of obstacles. The young up and comer Jakob Kratzer just became 1st in the rookie comp at the Mayrhofen Freeski Open. Maybe it helped that he was in Muehlbach the days before to train some endless lines. Stay tuned!

Following a multiple change of venue the morning of the contest, organizers and riders have to take decisions, scout lines and focus in a short amount of time. But all in all, everybody had a good day and a good night partying.

Sam Smoothy wasn't in a really good mood at the end of last year Freeride World Tour, out of Verbier and out of the Tour, it wasn't looking good for him. But everything changed this year, entering the Tour as a wildcard and ending up leading the ranking after 4 stops, seems like the Kiwi is back on track!
