Vallnord 2015 Full Track Preview
Here is a full track preview of the Downhill race for the 2015 Mountain Bike World Championship at Vallnord Bike Park in Andorra.
Greg Minnaar pinned down the best time of the timed session (no qualifications for downhill during the MTB World Championship).
It rained very hard for the first two days of practice, but finally the sun shined on.
However, the track was still sketchy.
The World Cup track at Vallnord Bike Park is very steep and natural with plenty of rocks and roots. First days of practice were a total carnage in the lower part of the track, which is steep and very muddy.
It does dry out very quickly on the top part of the track, but the bottom is always humid, even during summer.
The POV videos don't do justice. In this video, you will see how vertical are certain parts of the course.
To compare, I guess Vallnord is a mix between Val Di Sole and Windham. Long and steep like Val Di Sole and shaped like Windham.
