On March 3rd 2024 the participants run the 17 km long route from Samedan to S-chanf for the 23rd time. Former Olympic rivals Therese Johaug (NOR) and Justyna Kowalczyk (POL) met again after a long break. Two years after retiring from professional sports, the Norwegian athlete Therese Johaug wins the Engadin Women's Race, leading by more than three and a half minutes. For Therese Johaug, the first race after her maternity leave ended in a triumph. She set a swift pace from the start, giving her opponents little choice but to let her pull away early in the race. Her former Olympic rival Justyna Kowalcyk from Poland came in second; third place went to Seraina Boner from Davos. Tania Arquint, who had crossed the finishing line in third place, was disqualified for using fluor wax on her skis.
