Close Downhill Encounters Of The Third Kind is, as you must have already understood, inspired by Close Encounters Of The Third Kind - Some dialogs are even directly taken from the movie. I turned it into a MTB movie and it was shot with a near to nothing budget. This video is much more like a comic-tragic-dumb science-fiction one-reeler than a real MTB movie. The point was to have fun making it, first with my family, then with my friends from the 3Pigs Trail on the Anzin coal tip trail (North of France) - The Kaskou'Riders'track.
In this movie, you'll see the main actor much more like Jim Carrey or Eddy Murphy than Richard Dreyfus, Matrix-like FX mixed with antic ones like in the old Twilight Zone, fast riders like Greg Minnuus, Steve Spit and Sam Ill, film sets as evolved as in "Be Kind, Rewind"... Well, this movie is on its way to the next year Academy Awards and all the staff members have just one thing to say: "forgive us Steven !"
