As the O’Neill Cold Water Classic 2011 moved towards its closing stages, four quarterfinalists were decided as contest organisers once again took full advantage of the event’s mobile format.

19-year old Brazilian Miguel Pupo is the surprise winner of the O’Neill Cold Water Classic Series’ final stop in Santa Cruz, California! With his tremendous victory at the last stop, he not only took home the winner’s trophy but also the O’Neill Cold Water Classic Champion 2011 title along with USD 90’000 in prize purse.

The O’Neill Cold Water Classic Santa Cruz is gearing up to return once again to the rugged shores of Northern California for the final stop of the 2011 CWC Series, from October 26th - 31st!

Once again it was the setting for a perfect day of competition - clear blue skies, and whales out in the bay - on day two of the O’Neill Cold Water Classic, Santa Cruz.
A high tide meant that despite at 7am start for the call, Steamer Lane wasn’t working its magic until after lunch when local surfer Jonny Craft got into the water and took out the first heat of the day.
With current Series leader Brent Dorrington out of the event Adam Melling is now eyeing up the $50,000 prize money on off...

It was a non-stop day of action at the O’Neill Cold Water Classic 2011, as the event took full advantage of its mobile format to make the most of the swell on offer.
Starting just after sunrise at Steamer Lane to finish off the Round of 96, the event packed up and headed up the coast to the beach break of Waddell Creek to plough through the Round of 48. Then just to finish things off, it returned back to the Lane to get stuck into the man-on-man heats in the Round of 24 until the sun set....
