Tim Durtschi and the Saga media crew made their way up to Powder Mountain just outside of Ogden, UT on Friday. This past week the area got a nice 40″ dusting to start the season off and when Durtschi told us he already had his first jump of the season built, how could we resist. Day one of the season always has a feeling different from the rest. Even though you’re skiing on grass and rocks, it is still a comforting feeling to be home. Thanks for letting us tag along Durstchi!

In the pursuit of filming backcountry skiing, getting tricks and skiing are the usually the least of your worries. Weather, snow conditions, avalanche safety, locations, snowmobiles, and other factors all have to line up before you can get a shot. Sometimes during the course of a year a skier ends up filming for several different projects. When this happens their best shots may get split up and you never really get to see how incredible they are. We were recently able to collect all of Tim McChesney's footage from the 2013/14 season and compile it into one complete edit.
