The World Snowboarding Championships (WSC) is the first championships run by snowboarders since 1999. It is developed and owned by the Ticket To Ride (TTR) and World Snowboard Federation (WSF). The 5Star TTR Burton Canadian Open saw Chas Guldemond (USA) and Jamie Anderson (USA) take the win making Jamie the new leader of the TTR Slopestyle Tour Rankings. This is Chas’ first Slopestyle result registered for the 2011/2012 season. Ryo Aono (JPN) and Queralt Castellet (ESP) were victorious in the Halfpipe. In his third appearance at the event, Finnish rider Juuso Laivisto claimed his second first-place finish at China’s 5Star TTR Red Bull Nanshan Open. “It’s been awesome to see how the event has grown the last years, since I won it the first time, when it was still a 4Star. I was stoked with my win, it was definitely heavy competition today. The others were just a little unfortunate I think.” Juuso said.
