The Snow Bike Festival is honoured to announce that it has once again received Union Cycliste Internationale (UCI) accreditation and has been upgraded to a “Stage Race Class 1”, making it one of only 13 stage races worldwide to be classified this highly. The highlight of the Snow Bike Festival Gstaad 2016 was the Eliminator Night Race, where small groups of riders chase each other on a specially prepared floodlight course: at the thrilling duels, one rider after the other will be eliminated until only the winner will remain.

Stage 2 of the Snow Bike Festival started yesterday morning with a bit of an overcast and with a more comfortable reading on the thermometer compared to stage 1. The terrain however was a bit more slippery at stage 2 compared to stafe 1 as some of the ice on the roads began to melt due to the warmer conditions. It was Thomas Misser who won the race in the men category and Hielke Elferink who won in the women category.
