A big week is in store for the 5Star NESCAFÉ CHAMPS Leysin as the event prepares to celebrate its 20th anniversary. This event has brought many young talents into the limelight and continues to do so with its progressive slopestyle course that includes a superpipe into the setup. Top male and female athletes from all over Europe will be heading to Leysin, Switzerland next week from Feburary 5th to 8th 2011, to compete for a share in the $50,000 USD prize purse and a maximum of 850 Swatch TTR...

The 16th annual freestyle.ch Zurich was a hit despite the weather. 28,000 freestyle fans gathered at the Landiwiese to cheer on their freestyle superstars. This year’s freestyle.champs are Gjermund Bråten (NOR) in snowboarding, Henrik Harlaut (SWE) in freeskiing, Dany Torres (ESP) in FMX and Sandro Dias (BRA) in skateboarding. In addition to its contests, freestyle.ch was able to captivate audiences once again with its live acts. Reggae singer Cali P and his Soul Fire Band ignited the crowds...

THE NESCAFÉ CHAMPS IS BACK ! For the CHAMPS and those who have followed the event for 19 years, the 2010 winter cant arrive soon enough. The oldest competition in Europe will return to its resort of origin at LEYSIN. That is not the only good news, the long time partner of the CHAMPS will return and re-baptize the event NESCAFÉ CHAMPS.

After 15 tournaments in 11 different European countries, the qualified snowboarders came to battle it out at the Volcom Peanut Butter and Rail Jam European champs for the ultimate fight. A lot of karate chops went down the rails on the Glacier 3000 in Gstaad-Les Diablerets today.
